if you want to start fresh and remove all samples and patterns from your device
hold (shiftr) + (eraser) on start up to format the device.

FMT will display on the screen for about 10 seconds
then it will start up as usual with all content removed.
you can backup and restore your projects and sounds with the ep sample tool. make sure to backup any sounds and projects before formatting your device. if you don’t they will be lost forever.
