save all provided instructions for later use. follow all warnings and instructions marked on the product. 1. read instructions. all the safety and operating instructions should be read before the product is operated. 2. retain instructions. the safety and operating instructions should be retained for future reference. 3. heed warnings. all warnings on the product and in the operating instructions should be adhered to. 4. follow instructions. all operating and use instructions should be followed. 5. cleaning. unplug this product from its power source before cleaning. do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners. clean only with dry cloth.
warning be sure to observe the following to avoid fire or electric shock. if metal, water or foreign matter gets inside the product while product is operating, disconnect the usb cable from the main unit. if smoke, unusual odor, unusual noise, drop or damage occurs, disconnect the usb cable from the main unit. do not use the usb terminal or power terminal if it is not completely inserted. do not use the usb terminal or power terminal with dust attached, and do not bring any metal objects close to the terminal.
caution for your own safety, please carefully read the instructions and precautions in this manual before experimenting. there is a risk of suffocation, so beware of small parts such as screws, around children. modifying or any use other than the intended use listed in this kit is strictly prohibited and is to be done at your own risk. do not use if the main unit or the parts are damaged or deformed. do not spill liquids on the unit, or operate the unit if it is wet. operating power is 5V 1.0A. use the usb ac adapter for this operating power.
caution after use, disconnect the usb cable from the main unit. do not move the unit while the cable is connected. use and keep the unit on a flat and stable surface. do not use or store the unit in places exposed to oil slicks or steam, or in places with high level of moisture or dust. when pulling the cord to connect / disconnect the usb terminal or power supply terminal, be sure to hold the connector firmly. do not insert or remove cables with wet hands. when cleaning, be sure to remove the usb cable from the main unit. keep out of reach of small children at all times.

please read the included instructions and carefully follow the build guide to assemble your PO-80 record factory.
to prepare you will need a screwdriver, a cutter, a ruler and some glue.
to power your unit use a usb power supply or a battery pack.
the estimated building time is about 60 minutes. good luck!

connect your audio source to the line input.
adjust the needle pressure and slide the cutting arm to the end.
place and fasten a clean record on the turntable.
set the recording switch to recording. turn on and adjust volume with the volume dial.
play the audio source at maximum volume and adjust the volume on PO-80 as needed. the cutter head should be stable and the sound should be clear.
push the cutting arm slightly forward to connect it with the pulley gear.
pause and reset your audio source. carefully lower the cutter head and set the cutting needle to the record.
play the audio source to record to the record. carefully remove any debris while cutting. raise the cutter head when finished.
set the recording switch to playback.
place a record on the turntable.
lift the tonearm and place the needle in the groove of the record.
turn on and adjust volume with the volume dial.

to use headphones or external speakers connect these into the output jack.
when playback is finished return the tonearm and turn off the power.
use the provided adapter to to play commercial 7 inch records.
to prepare your music for recording it's recommended to use an equalizer. record your music to a computer and use a low cut eq to achieve the best quality recordings.
to help you out go to our mastering machine and upload your music. you can use mp3 or wav files up to 4 minutes long.
after the file has been uploaded, pick your desired musical flavor and then download the mastered track. use this file when recording on your PO-80.
to further improve your recordings you can try to adjust the needle weight. experiment to find the optimal setting for your unit.
also adjust the input volume to steady the needle for recording. heavy vibration of the needle can cause skipping.
