recyclinginformation
why recycle?most electrical items can be repaired, recycled or reused, saving natural resources and the environment. not recycling electrical equipment will cause it to end up in landfill where hazardous substances will leak out and damage the planet. this harms wildlife and also humans.
recycling anything that has a plug, battery or cable allows its materials to be used for everything from playgrounds to life saving equipment.
most old electrical equipment can be recycled, however recycling is not the same as disposal. please do not throw any electrical equipment in your bin. instead visit a local recycling centre or look for a local electrical recycling point. most councils in the uk have recycling points, so check your local council’s website to find your nearest one.
